Welcome to An Angel for Sara Dawn, the blognovel by Michael Rigg (formerly titled Life in Heaven).

This is my second blognovel. My first, August Winter, was written as an experiment. Is it possible to write an entire novel as a blog? And will it be popular as a “published first draft?” The answer to those questions turned out to be “yes” and “that depends on what you mean by popular.” August Winter received enough feedback that I stuck with it to the end. It began without an outline. It began without characters. It began with only the smallest inkling of a premise. But readers liked it.

An Angel for Sara Dawn has a few more things going for it out of the box. For starters, I have an outline this time. And, it’s a story that has rattled around my brain for a long, long time. While the title, and some of the character names, are “working,” the story remains the same.

An Angel for Sara Dawn is also my first entry into NaNoWriMo. National Novel Writing Month invites authors of all walks and ages to compose 50,000 or more words in one month. I want to thank my fellow Nanos for their encouragement, and my wife for thinking it’s so cool to have a novel race.
